Tuesday's Discussion: The Diverging Global Economy

1 comment:

  1. Tuesday's discussion was very thought-provoking... we started off talking about the stimulus package, and Ada brought up how this is not just an American occurrence: several countries are injecting their economies with government money. The case of Japan was also brought up - with some dissent as to how much of a comparison can be made between the US and Japan, given our consumption vs. their savings practices.

The conversation that veered off into how much is this really a crisis - compared to the regular lack that a non-US citizen in a peripheral economy experiences on a daily basis... and what to do about the North / South income gap - if anything at all.

    Thoughts?
